It is a naturally derived polysaccharide with water binding capacity. It supports the multiplication of beneficial microflora, thanks to which it has a prebiotic effect. One of the most important properties of pullulan is the elimination of unpleasant odors, so that’s why pullulan is often used in the production of intimate hygiene cosmetics.
